I had a good time on the ship and on our shore excursions. I wish we had been able to go further north, but I understand our cruise was affected by our Notre Dame schedule. The meals were really delicious, even for my mostly vegetarian preferences. The only criticism of the menu I have was that we Americans, especially Californians, eat a lot of Mexican/Spanish cuisine. It's also easier for vegetarians to eat that cuisine because it is largely based on beans and rice, with other items and/or meat added. The ship's Chef should take into consideration where his clients/customers are coming from.
We did have a few problems with our cabin, which I will note here:
* our TV did not have any working channels other than the announcements page, due to a satellite problem, which was supposed to be fixed for the ship "in the next day or two", but wasn't.
* our hairdryer in the cabin had previously been broken and taped back together. It would only work if you squeezed both sides together with two hands, making it useless. We were told there wasn't any extras, so I made do with my mini-travel hairdryer, which is less than satisfactory.
* our carpet looked vacuumed, but both Mary (my roommate) and I noticed that our socks/slippers were dirty from the little bit of walking we did around the cabin. Obviously it had been some time since the carpet had been steam cleaned.
